BLUE JAYS DON’T LET WATERLOO COME BACK

NORTH JACKSON OH- Thursday night the Lady Jays finished conference play against the Lady Vikings of Waterloo.  With the win the Lady Jays even up their conference record at 7-7 and tied for 4th place.

The Lady Jays started strong and dominated in set one and continued to play fast and loose in set two to get the win.  In set three with the score at 20-16, subs were made to allow some of the JV players to get another taste of varsity action.  The Lady Vikings were able to take advantage of the situation and proved to be too much for the younger players taking set 3 and forcing set 4.  With the return of the starters in set 4 the Lady Jays were able to secure the win.

Leading the Lady Jays tonight were Mia Greco with 13 service points and 5 aces, 13 kills and 7 blocks.  Riley Headley added 14 service points with 3 aces.  Emily Fultz had 10 kills.  Grace Johns with great back row play with 15 digs.  Paige Grope had 25 assists to add to her career total.

The Lady Jays will be on the road next Tuesday to take on Heartland Christian, and finish the regular season at home against Garfield.
