BOARDMAN TAKES DOWN STATE POWER HOUSE ON THE ROAD

LAGRANGE OH- In an impressive road performance, Boardman Softball took down the division 3 powerhouse, Keystone, with a 7-3 victory on Friday night.

Boardman’s offense came out swinging, led by Ellie Wymer, who went 3-4 with a home run, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Mikayla Rivera also contributed a home run, going 2-3 with 1 RBI, 1 walk, and 2 runs scored. Maddie Wymer, Tori Strines, and Ava Freeborough added key hits and RBIs to secure the win.

On the mound, Addie Kowacich started strong, pitching 3 innings with 3 strikeouts, allowing 3 earned runs on 2 hits. Tori Strines came in for relief and shut down Keystone, pitching 4 innings with 6 strikeouts and not allowing any hits or runs.

Boardman’s victory over Keystone is a testament to their strength and resilience as they continue to make their mark in the softball scene.
