TATAR BOMBS LEAD TIGERS TO ROUT IN ROOTSTOWN

ROOTSTOWN OH- Howland showcased their dominance on Friday night, delivering a commanding 10-0 shutout victory over Rootstown.

At the plate, Brooke Tatar led the offensive charge, going 3-4 with an impressive three home runs, driving in 4 runs and scoring 3 herself. Alyssa Massucci also contributed significantly, going 2-4 with a home run, 4 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. Madison Schmitz, Sydney VaNess, and Abigail Lewis each added key hits and RBIs to bolster Howland’s offense.

In the circle, Tatar showcased her skill set not only with the bat but also with her arm, pitching 5 innings, allowing just 3 hits while striking out 8 batters, keeping Rootstown off the scoreboard. Maya Kubanscek came in for relief and continued the shutout, pitching 2 innings with 3 strikeouts and not allowing any hits or runs.
