BRANT AND BULLDOGS SPOIL SPARTANS SENIOR NIGHT

BOARDMAN OH- In a showdown on Boardman’s senior night, Poland’s softball team left no doubt as they dominated the Spartans with a resounding 20-6 victory.

Poland’s offense was relentless, led by Mary Brant, who had a monster game going 5-5 with 2 home runs, 10 RBI, and scoring 4 runs. Elliana Thompson also had a strong showing, going 3-4 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Leanne Williams and Leanna Boccieri contributed with 3 hits each, driving in runs and crossing the plate multiple times. Lilly McDonald, Olivia Horn, and Avery Jakubovic also added to the onslaught, combining for 5 hits, 5 RBI, and 5 runs scored.

In the circle, McDonald pitched effectively for Poland, going 4.2 innings, allowing 6 hits and 2 earned runs while striking out 5 batters.

Boardman’s offense put up a fight, with Tori Strines leading the way with 2 RBI and a run scored. Alex Ward was perfect at the plate going 3-3 with a RBI and 2 runs scored. Olivia LaCivita and Maddie Wymer also contributed with hits and runs scored.

Despite Boardman’s efforts, Poland’s offensive firepower proved too much to handle, as they spoiled the Spartans’ senior night in convincing fashion.

With this impressive win, Poland continues to assert their dominance in the softball realm, while Boardman looks to bounce back in their next outing.
