BULLDOGS TURN THINGS AROUND

CORTLAND OH- Lakeview snapped their losing streak with an impressive conference win over Hubbard, securing a 28-14 victory.

The game started with a big play from Hubbard as Alex Hackwelder connected with Braydon Songer for a 64-yard touchdown pass, giving Hubbard an early 7-0 lead. Lakeview responded swiftly as Boom Gillis powered through with a 36-yard rushing touchdown, tying the game at 7-7 before the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Hackwelder took matters into his own hands, running for a 2-yard touchdown to put Hubbard back in the lead at 14-7.

The third quarter saw Gillis continue his outstanding performance, scoring two rushing touchdowns. First, he punched in a 4-yard rushing touchdown to tie the game at 14-14 with 10:12 on the clock. Later in the quarter, Gillis added a 2-yard rushing touchdown, giving Lakeview a 21-14 lead.

The fourth quarter sealed the victory for Lakeview, with Thomas Easton contributing an 8-yard rushing touchdown, extending their lead to 28-14.
