MCDONALD ONE WIN AWAY FROM ANOTHER LEAGUE TROPHY

NORTH JACKSON OH- McDonald took another step closer to the MVAC title on Wednesday, defeating Jackson Milton 4-0 and now standing just one win away from clinching a share of the crown, and two wins from the outright championship.

The McDonald offense got things going early, with Lauren O’Leary leading the charge, driving in 3 crucial runs. Isabella O’Brien went 3 for 4 at the plate, while Miley Titus scored twice on her 2 for 4 performance. Jenna Helco and Kayla Helco also contributed to the scoring, each crossing the plate once.

On the mound, O’Brien was lights out, pitching a complete game shutout and allowing only 1 hit while striking out an impressive 14 batters.

For Jackson Milton, Macayle Thornhill managed a double for the lone hit of the game.

Thornhill pitched well for Jackson Milton, going the distance and allowing 3 earned runs on 11 hits while striking out 7 batters.
