REBELS ESCAPE WITH A WIN OVER THE FALLS

COLUMBIANA OH- In a tense defensive battle on Wednesday, Crestview emerged victorious over Newton Falls with a narrow 3-2 win.

The Rebels managed to break the deadlock in the fifth inning, scoring once to take a 3-2 lead, which they held on to for the win.

Chloe Stoops led the Crestview offense, going 1 for 3 with an RBI, while Rylee Cloutier contributed with a 2 for 3 performance at the plate. Madison Frantz and Kerrigan Miller each drove in a run, with Miller also scoring a run herself. Emma Snyder added a hit and a run scored.

On the mound, Snyder was outstanding, pitching a complete game and allowing just 2 hits and 1 earned run while striking out an impressive 12 batters.

For Newton Falls, Abby Wolford scored a run and Kara Heckathorn added a hit.

Addison Garro pitched well for Newton Falls, going 6 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 5 hits, and striking out 7 batters.

Crestview’s solid defense and clutch hitting secured the victory, maintaining their edge throughout the game and clinching the win in a close contest.
