GARFIELD TAKES THEIR SHOW ON THE ROAD
LIBERTY OH- Garfield showed their strength on the road Wednesday night, clinching a solid 12-5 victory against Liberty in conference play.
Maddy Wilson led the offensive charge for Garfield with a standout performance, smashing a home run and adding a double, 2 runs, and 3 RBI to her name. Olivia Zicari also made her presence felt with a double, a triple, 3 runs, and an RBI. Lizzy Moore contributed with 3 hits, 2 runs, and 1 RBI, while Gabriel Groves and Kendall Thompson each added 2 hits.
On the mound, Juliana Genovese was dominant, striking out 13 batters in 7 innings of work.
For Liberty, Rachel Strohmeyer led the offense with a 3 for 4 night and 2 RBI, while Trinity Patterson added 2 RBI on her 1 for 3 performance. Chloe Fleps reached base twice with 2 walks and scored 2 runs, and Sarah Spisak contributed with 2 hits and a run scored.
Despite their efforts, Liberty couldn’t contain Garfield’s potent offense and strong pitching.
With this road win, Garfield continues to show their prowess in conference play, solidifying their position as a force to be reckoned with in the league.
