NORTH JACKSON, OH- South Range came out on top in a big way winning 1st place as a team in the 2021 Jackson Milton Invitational. The YSN area teams were well represented in the matches. Girard placed 3rd with Salem 4th Crestview 5th Jackson-Milton 6th United 7th and Western Reserve 9th in the 11 team event.
Range had 6 1st place winners and 4 runner-ups. Claiming championships were 106 Hunter Newell SR 120 Raymond Cmil SR 126 Clayton Krammer SR 138 Girards Colton McCloskey Crestviews Collin Wonner at 145 160 Jacob Starkey Salems Caiden Hart at 170 Christopher Colucci SR 195 Sam Murray Salems 220.

COLUMBUS, OH- The jump from one level of competition to the next is often one of the biggest challenges one can make. To spring from one side of the state border to another and become one of the most recognized in your sport?
That’s a whole different level.
Ohio State Wrestler, Luke Pletcher made his name in Latrobe, PA where he was a three-time Pennsylvania state champion and four-time finalist. Pletcher also won the PIAA state title as a freshman at 106 lbs. and then knocked off the defending champion in the 2014 state finals at 120 lbs. When he made the jump to the NCAA, he was able to earn an impressive resume in Scarlet and Gray as well:
