FAST START MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- The Avalanche jumped out to an early lead on Tuesday night, cruising to a 5-2 win over the Prospects in Class B 16U action at Bob Cene Park. Matthew Myers set the tone early with five shutout innings, allowing just one hit and striking out two. Jalen Peace came in for the last two innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out one to close out the game.

The Avalanche hitters backed up their pitchers with a balanced attack. Henry Biggs-DeSantis led the charge, going 2-3 with an RBI and a run. Will Beckert contributed with a hit, an RBI, a walk, and a run, while Chase Mitcheltree and Layne Rider each chipped in with hits and RBIs to keep the offense rolling.
