HOWLAND IS STAYING HOT

Howland Tigers put up 13 runs in the third on its way to a 16-1 victory over Geneva on Thursday.  Their batters contributing to the big inning included Alexia Spangler, Kayla Campbell, Cloe Lopez, Alyssa Massucci, Spangler, and Campbell, who all drove in runs.

Howland got on the board in the first inning when Madison Hufford homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

The Tigers put up 13 runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught was led by Spangler, Campbell, Lopez, Massucci, Spangler, and Campbell, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Brooke Tatar led the Tigers to victory in the circle. The pitcher went five innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out ten.

Annabelle Bragg took the loss for Geneva. The hurler allowed three hits and three runs, walking zero.

Howland launched two home runs on the day. Hufford went deep in the first inning. Tatar had a four bagger in the first inning.

Howland gathered 11 hits on the day. Massucci and Campbell each had multiple hits. Massucci led with three hits in four at bats.

Carmen Alvarez went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Geneva in hits.
