KNIGHTS TAKE THE FIGHT TO ST JOES

AKRON OH- Hoban softball showcased their offensive firepower on Tuesday night, lighting up the scoreboard in a commanding 17-6 win over St. Joes Academy. From the first pitch to the final out, Hoban was firing on all cylinders, leaving no doubt about who controlled the game.

Leading the charge was Taylor Gerring, who had a stellar performance at the plate. Gerring went 3-for-3 with a home run, driving in four runs and scoring three times herself. Her power hitting set the tone for the Knights’ explosive offense.

Gracelyn Schultz also made her presence felt, contributing both with her bat and her arm. At the plate, Schultz went 1-for-3 with three RBIs and drew a walk, while on the mound, she pitched four solid innings, allowing six hits and striking out three batters.

Elli Weigand and Nevaeh Peters added to the offensive onslaught, each collecting three hits and driving in runs to keep the scoreboard ticking. Alivia Havanas also had a strong showing, going 2-for-4 with an RBI and crossing the plate twice.

Despite a few runs allowed, Hoban’s pitching held firm, with Schultz leading the charge. She battled through four innings, keeping St. Joes Academy hitters off balance and allowing her team to maintain control of the game.
