LEAVITTSBURG OH- LaBrae secured a significant victory for their program on Thursday night, overcoming Garfield for the first time in MVAC play. The initial quarter saw a competitive start, with LaBrae holding a narrow 12-9 lead. However, the dynamics shifted in the 2nd quarter as the Vikings surged ahead, taking a commanding 24-12 lead into halftime. Despite Garfield’s attempt to cut the lead in the 3rd quarter, LaBrae regained control, ultimately clinching a convincing 51-28 win.

Key contributors for LaBrae included Ella Kuszmaul, who tallied 21 points with 17 coming in the first half, Riley Rowe with 12 points, and Marissa Levensky with 6 points. For Garfield, Mandy Cardinal scored 7 points, and Kolby Fresch added 5 points.
