CRESTVIEW ASSERTS THEIR DOMINANCE IN LIBERTY

LIBERTY, OH – Another night another dominant performance by the Rebels as Crestview came into Liberty and snagged a 60-15 victory from the leopards. Crestview was led by a dominant performance from Addison Rhodes who put up an impressive 22 points which was only seven points shy of matching Luvrain Gaskin’s 29 points against Girard on Tuesday night. 

 

Crestview had no problems getting started since they put up a combined 13 points in the first quarter. Rhodes found her first seven with two 2-point shots and a 3-pointer. Myer Miller also added a three to the scoreboard for the Rebels. Liberty had their highest scoring quarter and put up six points combined including four from Kylee Thomas and a 2-point shot from Brookyn Barnette. 

 

Crestview continued to stomp on the hardwood in the second with an impressive 25 points including nine from Rhodes and a pair of threes from Alexa DiCross and Kerrigan Miller, Luvrain Gaskins also went 2-for-2 from the free throw line. Liberty would only find a total of three points this quarter and they came from Mia Parker with a long 3-point shot.

 

The second half brought Crestview lowest scoring quarters thanks to their monstrous lead resulting in a running clock fairly early in the third. Luvrain gaskins would lead the charge this quarter finding three 2-pointers for six points. The other six came from Myer Miller who found a three and went 1-for-2 from the line and Rhodes who only found one 2-point bucket. Kylee Thomas was the only scorer for the Leopard’s who found a traditional bucket getting a 2-point shot to work the other 2 points came from Parker and Amari Brown who both went 1-for-2.

 

The fourth and final quarter saw 10 more points from Crestview with Rhodes connecting for 4 more to top off her night. Liberty, yet again, only had a single scorer here and this time two points came from a Thomas Bucket. 

 

Crestview went into cruise control in the second half and drove out of Liberty with an impressive 60-15 win. The Rebels move to 4-0 on their season and 1-0 in conference play while the Leopards move to 0-4 and 0-1 in conference play. The Rebels hit the hardwood next on Saturday December 9th when they host East Liverpool at 12:30PM. Liberty will also be back in play on Saturday when they travel to Niles to take on the Red Dragons at 1:00PM.
