LAKEVIEW TURNS IT ON IN OPENING ROUND

CORTLAND, OH- The Lakeview Bulldogs had everything working on Tuesday, winning big over Edgewood Warriors 11-4

Lakeview got things moving in the first inning, when Jake Wilms grounded out, scoring one run.

The Bulldogs put up five runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Blaine Barr and Andrew McRoberts and a double by Jake Nicholas.

Andrew Brown took the win for Lakeview Bulldogs. The pitcher surrendered four runs on two hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out eight. Nolan Toth and Tyler Capan entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Logan Kray took the loss for Edgewood Warriors. The righthander lasted four innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out one.

Lakeview socked one home run on the day. Gavin Mauger went yard in the first inning.

Lakeview tallied 14 hits on the day. McRoberts, Wilms, and Cal Rinck all managed multiple hits for Lakeview. McRoberts went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead the team in hits.
