LATEST HOLY WAR GOES TO THE IRISH

BOARDMAN OH- In the latest chapter of the Holy War rivalry, Ursuline Softball left no doubt as they trounced Mooney with a commanding 17-0 victory on Monday.

Ursuline’s offense came out swinging, led by standout performances from Brooke O’Pallick, Savannah Patrone, and Katie Koulianos. O’Pallick went 4-5 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored, while Patrone contributed a home run, 4 RBI, and 3 runs scored. Koulianos added to the onslaught, going 4-5 with 2 runs scored. Arri Wendt also made her presence felt with a home run, 2 RBI, and a walk.

On the mound, Ursuline’s pitching duo of Lilly Ditz and Bella Zamaria shut down Mooney’s offense completely. Ditz pitched 4 solid innings, allowing just 4 hits while striking out 4 and walking none. Zamaria closed out the game with 3 innings of stellar pitching, giving up only 2 hits and recording 3 strikeouts with no walks.

With this dominant performance, Ursuline asserted their superiority in the Holy War rivalry and showcased their strength as a team. Their offensive firepower and pitching prowess were simply too much for Mooney to handle.
