LESTER’S LAST RIDE

BOARDMAN OH- Senior years bring on a lot of lasts. The last time you open a season, the last time you face a rival pitcher, or hitter, and the last time you put on your school’s jersey. While a ton of seniors have to also deal with the emotions of seeing their career in a sport come to an end, Boardman’s Maddie Lester has locked in a chance to play at the next level. Maddie has been coined by Boardman’s head coach Fred Mootz as the hardest working player he has ever coached. With that being said it should be no surprise that Lester has become such a threat in the circle, and at the plate. She is such a big part of Boardman’s success. And it doesn’t just come down to statistics. Behind her in the circle, Boardman is young. Maddie’s ability to work with young pitchers and take them under her wing as a leader is going yo make Boardman’s future bright.

Maddie took the time to come on to YSN’s Running Point to give us an inside look into her senior season. She talks with Anthony Hartwig, and Ty Bartell about what makes this program special, playing at the next level, and so much more. Check out the latest Boardman player profile exclusively on YSN.
