MOHAWK LOSES LEAD LATE TO RIVERSIDE
ELWOOD CITY PA- In a tightly contested matchup on Monday, Mohawk suffered a tough loss as Riverside broke a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning to clinch the victory.
It was a game of inches, with both teams battling fiercely until the very end. Mohawk’s offense fought hard, but they fell just short of securing the win. AJ Verdi and Vinny Pezzuolo each contributed an RBI, while Bobby Fadden and Aidan Bowser added hits to the scoreboard.
On the mound, Pezzuolo delivered a solid performance, pitching 6 innings and allowing 4 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out 5 Riverside batters. Despite his efforts, Riverside managed to push through with a late run in the sixth inning to secure the win.
