TIGERS COMMANDING THE MVAC

MCDONALD OH- It was all smiles for Springfield fans as their team put on a hitting clinic on Monday night, cruising to a 13-4 victory over McDonald in a high-scoring MVAC showdown.

Springfield’s bats were on fire, and no one was hotter than Blake Jeffries. He was swinging for the fences, launching two big homers, racking up a whopping 8 RBIs, and crossing the plate 4 times himself. Talk about a one-man wrecking crew! But he wasn’t alone in the hitting parade. Kolten Ruark, Liam Wylie, and Parker Dobson also joined the hit party, each contributing with multiple hits and RBIs. And let’s not forget about Noah Troggio, who hustled his way to 2 hits and scored 3 runs.

On the mound, Springfield’s pitching squad did a solid job, with Payton Novak, Parker Dobson, and Liam Wylie combining forces to keep McDonald’s offense in check. They allowed just 6 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out a few batters along the way. Dobson picked up the win for his efforts, sealing the deal for the Tigers.

While McDonald fought hard, their offense couldn’t keep up with Springfield’s offensive onslaught. Jackson Candel and Avery Matey managed to drive in runs, and Zach Shobel made some noise with 2 hits and a run scored. Even Brady Flere chipped in with an RBI.
