O’BRIEN SHINES IN THE CIRCLE FOR HUBBARD

JEFFERSON OH- Hubbard cruised to an easy victory over Jefferson Area 13-2 on Monday

Hubbard got on the board in the first inning. Kailah Gregory hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.

Isabella O’Brien was the winning pitcher for the Eagles. O’Brien lasted seven innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out 14.

Sammi Speakman took the loss for Jefferson Area. Speakman allowed 11 hits and 13 runs over seven innings, striking out three.

Hubbard socked two home runs on the day. Haley Croyle had a four bagger in the sixth inning. Gillian Ryser went for the long ball in the fifth inning.

The Eagles collected 11 hits. Emily Filicky, Grace Narkum, and Sydney Bowser all managed multiple hits. Filicky led the way with three hits in three at bats.

Bodley Beckwith went 1-for-1 at the plate to lead Jefferson Area in hits.
