RESERVE COMES OUT ON TOP IN PITCHER’S DUEL

Both teams were strong on the rubber Monday, but Western Reserve defeated Crestview 3-1. Joanie Dagnan allowed just five hits to Crestview.

Crestview got things started in the second inning. An error scored one run.

Dagnan got the win for Western Reserve. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out nine.

Kaedyn Sutton took the loss for Crestview. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out 14. That is a program record for strike outs in a game.

The Blue Devils racked up seven hits on the day. Dagnan and Caylee Selley each managed multiple hits. Selley and Dagnan all had two hits to lead Reserve.

Brooke Brubaker went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Crestview in hits.
