PEZZONE PRIMED FOR NEXT LEVEL

STRUTHERS OH- Pitching talent is abundant in the area of northeast Ohio. Everywhere you look you can find a pitcher in the circle that is going to play at the next level. Next time you glance around, make sure to take an extra look in Struthers. Wildcats senior Nicolina Pezzone has steadily but surely become one of the better hurlers the area has to offer.

Pezzone has been the definition of a true leader this season. The team has definitely gone through its adversity this season. It’s been enough to make most players shut down in despair. The Wildcats could have very well fallen into that trap as well if it weren’t for the attitude and belief shown by Pezzone. Because of her determination and work ethic, the young Wildcats team was able to end the season with some real fight. They won a tournament game, and then gave Poland a heck of a fight before falling.

Pezzone has decided to continue her softball career at Charleston in West Virginia. She committed in November of 2020, so she has had two seasons without the stress of the recruiting process. It has made her a more focused leader on the field.

Nicolina was able to come on to YSN’s Running Point this week to talk about her final season in Struthers. She chats with Anthony Hartwig and Ty Bartell about her future endeavors, her positive  mindset, and so much more. Celebrate one of the best leaders Struthers has to offer in the latest player profile.
