POLAND ANSWERS THE CALL ON SENIOR NIGHT

POLAND OH- In a thrilling matchup, the Poland Bulldogs emerged victorious over the Hubbard Eagles with a close 5-4 win this evening. Olivia Horn claimed the mound win for Poland, while Haleigh Taylor took the loss for Hubbard.

Hubbard took an early lead with 2 runs in the top of the first inning, but Poland quickly responded in the bottom half. Leanna Boccieri’s single drove in a run, and Mary Brant’s powerful homer to right field added 2 more RBIs, putting the Lady Bulldogs ahead 3-2.

Both teams’ offenses remained evenly matched throughout the game, with 8 hits apiece. Eight of the nine starters for the Bulldogs recorded hits, while Lauren Komorek led the Eagles with 3 hits, including a triple. Haleigh Taylor contributed significantly with a homer and a double, earning 2 RBIs for Hubbard, and Phoebe Rusnak added a double for the Lady Eagles.
