Poland scored five runs in the fifth on its way to a 9-2 victory over Lakeview on Tuesday. The rally was led by home runs by Cameryn Lattanzio and Katie McDonald.

Poland opened up scoring in the first inning, when Jackie Grisdale singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Poland notched five runs in the fifth inning. They put the pressure on, lead by home runs by Lattanzio and McDonald.

McDonald earned the win for Poland. She allowed seven hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out five.

Ella Chadwick took the loss for Lakeview. The bulldog went five and two-thirds innings, allowing nine runs on nine hits and striking out three.

Poland  hit two home runs on the day. Lattanzio put one out in the fifth inning. McDonald also went yard in the fifth inning.

Poland racked up 11 hits. Grisdale, Abby Farber, and Lattanzio all managed multiple hits for Poland. Grisdale went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.

Lakeview collected seven hits. Kylie Imes and Sammy Aey each had multiple hits. Imes led with three hits in four at bats.
