ROUSH STRIKES GOLD WITH A NO HITTER

Reese Roush was brilliant on the mound on Monday, as he threw a no-hitter to lead Columbiana past Leetonia 16-0.

The Clippers secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the second inning. Maxx Grommes, Ian Less, Alex Eusebio, Colin Keleman, Max Conway, and Cam Clancy each had RBIs.

Columbiana fired up the offense in the first inning, when Keleman singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

The Clippers scored 11 runs in the second inning. The offense in the inning was led by Grommes, Less, Eusebio, Keleman, Conway, and Clancy, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Roush got the win for Columbiana. The righty surrendered zero runs on zero hits over five innings, striking out 11.

The Clippers collected 14 hits on the day. Devin Daugherty, Bayden Pipoly, Grommes, and Conway each racked up multiple hits. Daugherty led with three hits in three at bats. Columbiana stole 12 bases during the game as five players stole more than one. Daugherty led the way with two.

Columbiana and Leetonia will meet up again on Wednesday as they finish their EOAC series in Columbiana. First pitch is slated for 5:00
