SALEM SURGES ON SENIOR DAY

SALEM OH- In a decisive second-half surge on Saturday afternoon, Salem stormed out of the locker room to run away from Poland with a convincing 65-43 victory. The Quakers dominated the third quarter, scoring 27 points and outscoring the Bulldogs by 15.

Leading Salem’s scoring efforts was Rylee Hutton, who delivered an impressive 21 points, followed by Reese Davidson-Chuck contributing 14, and Lauryn Barton with 9. Riley Flickinger added 8 points to the team’s balanced attack.

Poland’s Elliana Thompson led the Bulldogs with 12 points, while Sophia Generalovich and Leanne Williams added 6 and 5 points, respectively.

With the win, Salem (7-10) looks forward to their next challenge, a home matchup against rival West Branch on Wednesday. Poland (9-6) returns to league play on Monday, hosting South Range. The Quakers’ commanding performance underscores their resilience as they navigate through the season.
