SOUTH RANGE RUNNING TOWARDS THE FINAL STRETCH

CANFIELD OH- South Range came out swinging on Tuesday, delivering a commanding 12-2 run-rule victory over Ursuline.

The South Range offense was firing on all cylinders, led by Solena DeJesus’s outstanding performance. DeJesus went 3 for 4 at the plate, driving in an impressive 6 RBIs and scoring a run. Anna Aey contributed with a homer and an RBI, while Giada Pauline added 2 RBIs of her own. Gretchen Bartels and Keira Brogan also had hot bats, each tallying multiple hits and runs scored. Ashley Rupert rounded out the offensive onslaught with 2 hits, 1 RBI, and 2 runs scored.

In the circle, Jayli Wilt was stellar for South Range, pitching 6 innings of shutout ball. Wilt allowed just 2 hits and struck out 6 batters, keeping Ursuline’s offense at bay.

Ursuline managed to get on the board with Brooke Burton driving in a run and Savannah Patrone adding a hit, but it wasn’t enough to match South Range’s offensive firepower.
