SPARTANS CANT CATCH UP TO PARRISH

SARASOTA FL-  Boardman fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 7-5 loss to Parrish Community on Thursday. Parrish Community scored on a single by Grace Woodring in the first inning, a single by Hannah Lewis in the first inning, a stolen base by Ella Romano in the second inning, and a sacrifice fly by Isabella Vega in the second inning.

In the bottom of the first inning, Parrish Community tied things up at three. They scored one run when Lewis singled.

Parrish Community pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the inning, a sacrifice bunt by Romano scored two runs, and Vega’s sac fly scored one run.

Vega was the winning pitcher for Parrish Community. The bulldog allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking zero.

Madison Lester took the loss for the Spartans. The righty allowed eight hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out two.

Rylee Little started the game for Parrish Community. Little went three innings, allowing five runs on eight hits, striking out seven and walking zero

Boardman totaled nine hits in the game. Lester, Madison Wymer, and Jenna Olexa all had multiple hits. Olexa, Wymer, and Lester all had two hits to lead.

Parrish Community collected ten hits. Lewis, Vega, and Woodring each had multiple hits. Lewis went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.
