One of the most significant benefits of this move is the potential to accumulate more secondary points in the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s (OHSAA) playoff calculation by competing against Ohio teams. The Spartans face the departure of Zack Rice, their all-time leading rusher, who racked up an impressive 1,215 yards and 16 touchdowns during the 2022 season.
