SPOONER LEADS THE WAY; CLIPPERS SINK LIBERTY

STRUTHERS, OH- Seth Spooner had four hits to lead the way for Columbiana (5-1) in a 12-4 victory over Liberty at Cene Park Thursday afternoon.  Spooner was 4-5 including a double while scoring two runs and collecting two RBI.  Columbiana had 16 hits in total including two each by Logan Hoschar (2 doubles), Brady Dixon, Carson Dota (3 RBI), and Tyler Andersen.  Riley McElwain also had a double for the Clippers.

McElwain (2-1) picked up the win on the mound allowing one hit and one run (0 earned) while striking out five in four innings of work.  Spooner, Zach Pleska, and  Hoschar each pitched an inning of relief.

Next up for Columbiana will be Southern Local on Monday, April 12th at Firestone Park.  The first pitch is scheduled for 5 PM.
