STORM WIN BACK TO BACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

BOARDMAN OH- With a championship on the line, the Steel Valley Storm matched up with a familiar Ohio Monsters team. The Storm beat them in the semifinals in their last tournament, and took them down in pool play on Saturday. The Storm made it 3 for 3 on Sunday and earned another bracket championship on the summer with a 14-4 run rule win.

Christina Montgomery capped off an amazing day going 3-3 with 3 runs scored and 3 RBI. Lilly Ditz also went 3-3 for the game including a triple and drove in 4 RBI. Gabby Goddard went 1-3 with a RBI. Gretchen Bartels smashed a RBI double to the gap to give her a 1-4 effort.

Sophia LaCivita pitched the Storm to a championship going 4 innings and giving up 3 earned runs on 7 hits.
