ATHLETIX HAVE THE X FACTOR

STRUTHERS OH- In Sunday’s Class B Baseball 16U matchup, Athletix rolled over A2Z Athletics with a commanding 14-4 win.

Jaden Wallace was unstoppable with four hits, three RBIs, and a run. Josh McFadden added to the onslaught with two hits, including a double, three RBIs, and two runs. Jonathan Adamson crossed the plate four times with two hits. Nick Pugliese contributed three hits and an RBI, while Cody Bungert chipped in with two hits, an RBI, and three runs.

 

BARONS BLUSTER THEIR WAY TO BLOW OUT WIN

STRUTHERS OH- The 3B Barons were unstoppable on Tuesday, steamrolling A2Z Athletics 14-4 in Class B 16U action.

The Barons’ bats were on fire, with Rory Pischer leading the charge by going 2-3 with 4 RBIs, a walk, and scoring twice. Blake Scott also had a big game, going 2-4 with 4 RBIs and a run. DJ Graham contributed with a walk, 2 RBIs, and scored twice, while Dom Malone went 3-4 with an RBI and 2 runs. Treyton Ross was patient at the plate, drawing three walks and driving in a run, and Jack Kelar was perfect, going 3-3 with an RBI and scoring twice.

On the mound, Dante Taliani pitched three innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 3 hits while striking out five. Nico Heakins took over for the final two innings, giving up no earned runs on just one hit and striking out one.

A2Z Athletics had a few bright spots with Raymond Trovato going 2-3 with 2 RBIs and a run, Bobby Levonyak drawing a walk and driving in a run, and Payton Novak going 1-2 with a run.

 

ATHLETIX STRENGTH PREVAILS OVER A2Z

STRUTHERS OH- In a Wednesday night makeup game, Athletix bulldozed their way to a 10-0 victory over A2Z Athletics, wrapping it up in just five innings. From the get-go, Athletix came out swinging, showing no mercy at the plate and locking it down on the mound.

Tyler Kirlik led the charge, going 1-2 with 3 RBIs and crossing the plate once. Cody Bungert followed suit, also going 1-2 and driving in 2 runs. Cale Moraski was a perfect 2-2, adding an RBI, a walk, and a run to his stat line. Brady Stovall chipped in with a 1-2 performance, earning an RBI, a walk, and a run as well. Jonathan Adamson was unstoppable, going 2-2, drawing a walk, and scoring three times.

On the mound, Shawn Updegraff was lights out. He threw a complete game, allowing zero runs on five hits while striking out six batters. His dominant performance set the tone for the game, keeping A2Z Athletics off balance and unable to mount any sort of comeback.

 

FALCONS GET IT GOING EARLY

STRUTHERS OH- The Astro Falcons scored early and often, taking down A2Z Athletics 12-7 on Saturday at Bob Cene Park in 16U action.

Dom Polkovitch earned the win for Astro, giving up seven runs (six earned) on eleven hits over 4 2/3 innings, striking out five and walking just one. Ryan Neifer took the loss for A2Z, allowing four runs in the first inning alone.

Gavin Hiscox led all hitters with four hits, including two doubles, and scored twice. Rowan Urbach and Ben Oddis each had two hits, two runs, and two RBIs. Ty McCaskey added a triple among his two hits, scored a run, and drove in two more. Joey Gabriel chipped in with two hits, a run, and an RBI, while Jake Dovich contributed an RBI single and scored twice.

For A2Z, Raymond Trovato had three hits, scoring and driving in a run. Xavier Klamer added two hits, including a double, two runs, and an RBI. Danny Jorge had two hits and two RBIs in the effort.

CREEKSIDE CLAIMS BIG TIME VICTORY

STRUTHERS OH- Thursday night at Bob Cene Park, Creekside rolled over A2Z Athletics with a commanding 14-2 win in Class B 16U action.

Freddie Zehetner was on fire, racking up two hits including a triple, driving in two runs, and scoring three times. Blake Burchill chipped in with two hits, including a double, and crossed the plate twice. Dane Barber had a monster game with three hits, including a double and a homer, driving in six runs and scoring three. Vince Gentile added two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.

On the mound, Dominik Cataldi pitched a complete game, giving up just four hits and two runs while striking out five.

For A2Z, Xavier Klamer had two hits, including a triple, and scored a run. Greg Faunda doubled and drove in a run, while Andrew Gillie tripled and scored.

ATHLETIX PUT THE PRESSURE ON

STRUTHERS OH- Athletix got things in gear on Tuesday night, taking down A2Z Athletics 7-2 in Class B 16U action. Tyler Kirlik led the charge, going 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and a run. Brady Stovall contributed with a hit, 2 RBIs, a walk, and a run, while JD Henderson was perfect at the plate, finishing 1-for-1 with an RBI, 2 walks, and a run. Brady Haught and Cale Moraski each added an RBI to the mix.

On the mound, Collin Resetar was dominant, pitching 5 innings, allowing just 1 earned run on 1 hit, and striking out 12.

For A2Z Athletics, Landon Burke managed the only hit, going 1-for-2. Shane Hixson and Bobby Levonyak both walked and scored a run, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Athletix’s strong performance.

AVALANCHE SOLIDIFY BIG WIN

STRUTHERS OH- Avalanche dominated A2Z Athletics on Sunday with an 8-0 shutout. Gabe Titus was on fire with a double, a triple, and two runs. Braden Burnette chipped in with a double, an RBI, and two runs. Caleb Koncar and Will Beckert each smacked a double and drove in a run.

On the mound, Matthew Myers was lights out, going 2 1/3 innings, allowing just three hits and fanning three batters for the shutout victory.

EASY AS A2Z

STRUTHERS OH- In Class B 16U action on Saturday, A2Z Athletics took down Knightline 8-5.

Andrew Gillie led the way for A2Z with two hits and two runs. Bobby Levonyak added two hits, including a double, with two RBIs and a run. Xavier Klamer racked up three hits and a run, while Jaden Schuver chipped in three hits, including a double, and a run. Luke Bates was clutch with a double and three RBIs.

For Knightline, Anthony Pastella had two hits, an RBI, and scored twice. Khalef Freeman added a triple and a run, but it wasn’t enough to stop A2Z’s offense.

A2Z Athletics came out strong and held on for the win in this exciting matchup.

BARONS GET COMBINED NO HITTER IN RUN RULE WIN

STRUTHERS OH- Thursday night saw the 3B Barons crush A2Z Athletics 15-0 in 16U Class B Baseball action, thanks to explosive hitting and a combined no-hitter.

The Barons’ bats were on fire. Ben Yeckel went 2-for-3, driving in 5 runs and scoring once. Paul Malley was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs and 3 runs. Rory Pischer chipped in with 2 hits and 2 RBIs, while Davin Friedman also went 3-for-3, drove in 3 runs, walked once, and scored 3 times. Conner Hart added 2 hits and scored twice.

On the mound, Friedman and Malley teamed up to throw a no-hitter in this run-rule game, each pitching 2 innings. They combined for 7 strikeouts and allowed only 1 walk. The Barons’ stellar performance on both sides of the ball sealed their commanding victory.

BALLISTIC DOUBLES UP A2Z

STRUTHERS OH- Ballistic doubled up A2Z Athletics 6-3 on Tuesday in 16U Class B Baseball action.

For Ballistic, Ryan Cameron led the way with a 2-3 performance and two RBIs. Owen Bauer chipped in with a hit, an RBI, and a run. AJ Marinelli added an RBI, going 1-4. David Vlosich was perfect at the plate, going 3-3 and scoring twice.

On the mound, Bauer pitched three innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and striking out four. Colton Hall closed it out with a dominant performance, giving up no runs, hits, or walks while striking out four.

A2Z saw some solid hitting from Shane Hixson, who went 1-3 with an RBI. Luke Abates had a strong game, going 2-3 with an RBI and a run. Jaden Schuver also contributed with an RBI, going 1-3, while Landon Burke went 2-3 and scored a run.
