WHITING SHUTS OUT ATHLETIX

STRUTHERS OH- Whiting Roll-Offs was dominated on both sides on Sunday as they shut out Athletix 8-0 in a 18U Class B showdown.

Nick Vitale had an awesome day going 3-4 with a run scored, and a pair of RBI.   Nick Osborne was also productive going 2-4 with 2 RBI. Ethan Bintrum also went 2-4 with a RBI, and he added 2 runs scored.

Tim Lewis gave up his share of hits, but never let a run across the plate. He pitched all 7 innings. He struck out a pair.

Matt Lockwich, and Malakai Roberts both went 2-3 on the day for Athletix. Seth Cervello went 1-2 on the day. Nate Flemming went 1-3.

Sebastian Rosado-Guindin was tagged with the loss on the mound for Athletix. He went 1.2 innings and gave up 6 runs on 8 hits.  He struck out a pair.

BALLISTIC STRIKES HARD AT ATHLETIX

STRUTHERS OH- Ballistic Baseball hit all the right chords on Saturday as they dispatched Athletix 8-3 in 18U Class B action.

Donavan Sullivan had a fantastic day going 3-4 with a run scored and 4 RBI.  Will Morrow went 2-4 with a RBI.  Dustin Horn went 2-5 with a run scored, and a RBI.  Justin Fell went 1-2 with 2 runs scored, and a walk.

Sam Basso earned the win on the hill for Ballistic.  He threw 5.1 innings and gave up 2 earned runs on 8 hits.  He struck out 9.

Clay Mitchell knocked in a run for Athletix while going 1-3.  Cam Hollobaugh did the same going 1-3 with a RBI.  Jason Triveri went 2-3 with a run scored.

Triveri took the loss on the mound. He went 4.2 innings and gave up 0 earned runs on 4 hits.  He struck out 3.

CREEKSIDE TOO MUCH FOR ATHLETIX TO HANDLE

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside’s bats were enough to win a high scoring affair with Athletix. Creekside came back from being down 3-0 early to win 8-5.

Clayton Blucher was near unstoppable at the plate for Creekside. He went 2-3 with a walk, a run scored, and 2 RBI.  Alex Gabauer also had a strong performance going 2-4 with 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.  Gavin Miller made the most out of a 1-4 day scoring a run, and knocking in a pair of RBI.

Luke Savage tossed his way to a win on the bump. He pitched 3.1 innings and gave up 5 runs on 10 hits.

Cam Hollobaugh was productive for the Athletix offense. He went 1-3 with a run scored, and 2 RBI.  Tristan Adamson, and Ty Ventresco both 1-3 with a RBI.  Nate Ostas had multiple hits going 2-3 with a run scored. He wasn’t the only one, Nate Fleming also had a pair of hits in four at bats. He scored a run.

Jake Cunningham was hit with the loss. He threw 3.2 and gave up 6 runs on 5 hits.  He struck out a pair.

BALLISTIC BULLETS PAST ATHLETIX

STRUTHERS OH- Ballistic Baseball doubled up Athletix on Saturday in 16U class B action. Their offense was up to the task racking in 10 runs to win 10-5.

Mathew Lindsey was one of the big stars for Ballistic’s offense. He went 3-3 on the day with a walk, a run scored, and 2 RBI.  TJ Border went 1-2 with a walk, 2 runs scored, and a RBI.  Brady Harman had multiple hits going 2-5 with a run scored and a RBI.

Colby Lewis earned the win on the mound for Ballistic.  He threw 6.2 innings giving up 5 runs on 5 hits. He struck out 3.

The Athletix offense was led by Dustin Smith who was not retired on the day going 2-2 with a RBI.  Johnny Cambert went 1-2 with a walk and 2 RBI. Dylan Casey gathered a RBI on a 1-4 outing.

Luke Rohan was charged with the loss on the hill. He threw 1 inning and gave up 1 earned run on 4 hits.

DURA EDGE DOUBLES UP ATHLETIX

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge was able to get twice as many runs on Athletix on Friday night in 18U action. Dura had a big 3 run 4th inning to put the game away.

Gabe Faunda had a big night for Dura Edge going 2-3 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.  Kyle Yost went 2-4 with a RBI.  Ethan Hanley went 1-2 with a walk, a run scored, and a RBI.  Parker Lyons mirrored those numbers.

Jake Grdic was able to pitch his way to a win on the mound. He went 5 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 6.

Cam Hollobaugh went 1-3 for the Athletix and knocked in a RBI.  Jason Triveri was not retired on the night going 1-1 with 2 walks.  Steven Zordich and Clay Mitchell both went 1-3.

Zordich took the loss on the mound for the Athletix. He went 5 innings and gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He struck out 5.

BIG FIFTH INNING LIFTS FALCONS

STRUTHERS OH- It was a tight game between Astro Falcons and Athletix on Thursday night, the Falcons had a 3-2 lead going into the 5th. However, a 7 run inning put the Falcons out of reach. They went on to win 12-4.

Bo Fornataro was huge for the Falcons offense. He went 2-3 with a run scored and 2 RBI.  Drew Kaschak went 1-3 with another pair of RBI.  Kolten Ruark went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.  Jay Campbell went 1-2 with 2 walks and 2 runs scored.

Jaden Rishel earned the win for the Falcons. He threw 6 innings and gave up 2 earned runs on 6 hits.  He struck out 7 and walked only 2.

The Athletix offense did a fine job against tough pitching from the Falcons. Tyler Wardle went 2-3 with 2 RBI and a run scored.  Dustin Smith went 1-3 with a RBI.  Gabe Saunders also collected a RBI on the day.

Logan Baxter was charged with the loss for Athletix. He gave up 6 runs on 5 hits.  He struck out 6 hitters on the night.

CREEKSIDE CRASHES THE PARTY AGAINST ATHLETIX

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside needed every ounce of their offensive light on Wednesday night as they found themselves in a slugfest with Athletix. Creekside was able to come away with a 13-8 win.

Jack Davis was a problem on offense. He went 2-4 with 2 runs scored.  He knocked in 2 RBI.  Danny Flynn also had a strong night going 1-3 with 2 runs scored, a walk, and 2 RBI.  Payton Zupko went 1-2 with 2 runs scored, 2 walks, and a RBI.  Andrew Salupo was the most productive bat in the lineup going 2-4 with 3 RBI.

Jordan McCartney got the win for Creekside. He threw 3 innings giving up 0 earned runs on 1 hit. He struck out 1.

Luke Gehring went 2-3 for the Athletix with a walk and a run scored. Gabe Saunders went 1-3 with 2 runs scored, 1 walk, and 1 RBI.  Dustin Smith went 1-3 with 2 runs scored.

Gehring took the loss on the hill for the Athletix. He went 2 innings giving up 3 earned runs on 4 hits.  He struck out 1.

AVALANCHE ALL OVER ATHLETIX

STRUTHERS OH- Avalanche left nothing to chance on Wednesday night as they pounded Athletix 12-1 in 18U Class B action.

Landon Esposito was a thorn in the side of Athletix pitching going 2-4 and knocking in a pair of RBI.  He also scored a run.  Derek Franken also had multiple hits as he went 2-4 with a RBI and run scored.  Mason Jones made the most out of a 1-4 night grabbing 3 RBI. Rufus Byler went 1-3 with a walk, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.

Jaret Boyer notched the win for Avalanche going 6 innings on the bump giving up just 1 run on 5 hits. He struck out 3.

Nate Fleming was a bright spot for the Athletix offense. He went 2-3. LJ Evans went 1-2 on the night.  Cam Hollobaugh walked and collected his team’s sole RBI.

Nate Ostas was charged with the loss on the mound. He went 3 innings and gave up 4 runs on 3 hits. He struck out 1.
