CANFIELD, OH –  In this episode, we sit down with Paul Bindas to discuss his journey as he steps into the shoes of one of Canfield’s greatest quarterbacks, Broc Lowry. Paul shares his experiences of taking over the snaps and leading his team to victory in week one. We delve into the lessons he learned from Broc and how he’s applying them to his game. CANFIELD GETS SWEET REVENGE ON DOVER

DOVER OH- Canfield suffered a tough loss to Dover last season, a loss which sat with the Cardinals for nearly 365 days. They let out all their frustration on Friday with a huge 31-10 win on the road.

Brock Lowry was effective in both the air and the ground attacks. He combined for 308 all purpose yards for the Cardinals. He punched in to the house three times. Chris Sammarone was effective on both sides of the ball. He punched in an 11 yard touchdown.

Canfield will move on to play Boardman in week 5. Boardman is 2-2.

 

CARDINALS SURVIVE LATE NEW PHILLY SURGE

CANFIELD OH- The Canfield Cardinals took on the New Philadelphia Quakers in week 3 at Cardinal Stadium.

The Cardinals got on the board first with a 65 yard touchdown run from senior quarterback Ethan Fletcher. New Philadelphia then responded with a long drive to tie the game up. Later in the first half, Brock Lowry returned an interception to the house to increase the Cardinal lead.

The Cardinals would lead at half 31-14, but the Quakers did not go down without a fight. The Quakers scored 10 unanswered in the second half, while dominating time of possession. Canfield was able to use the clock to their advantage, and hang on to a 31-24 victory.

Canfield improves to 3-0, and will travel to Dover for their first road game of 2020 in week 4. New Philadelphia is now 2-1, and will take on Steubenville Thursday night.
