Conneaut, OH- In a dominant display of Spartan prowess, Alexis Brown emerged as the hero, driving in four runs on two solid hits, propelling the Conneaut Spartans to a commanding 15-5 victory over the Lakeside Dragons on Monday.

Right from the outset, the Dragons attempted to assert themselves, scoring a solitary run in the first inning off a passed ball. However, the Spartans quickly seized control of the game in the bottom of the first, unleashing a barrage of offense that saw them score five runs on four hits, establishing a formidable 5-1 lead. The highlight of the inning came from none other than Alexis Brown, whose clutch single with an 0-2 count drove in two crucial runs.

The Spartans didn’t let up, further solidifying their dominance with a seven-run onslaught in the bottom of the second inning. Devin Salinas ignited the scoring frenzy with a crucial single in the second inning, setting the tone for the Falcons’ offensive onslaught. Giovanni Matticola and Toby Dickson followed suit, driving in runs and securing an early advantage for Jefferson. The momentum only continued to build as Logan Saksa, Matticola, and others contributed to the scoring barrage.

Pitcher Luke Lambert delivered a stellar performance on the mound, stifling the Spartans’ offense with precision and control. Meanwhile, Bryce Spurlin struggled to contain the Falcons’ relentless hitting, ultimately succumbing to Jefferson’s offensive prowess.

Andover, OH- Looking to sharpen up before the playoffs the Pymatuning Valley Lakers and the Conneaut Spartans met for one final regular season game in Andover. The Lakers emerged victorious with a thrilling 92-80 win. Led by standout performances from Blake Krznaric and Caydence Wiser, the Lakers showcased their offensive prowess and celebrated a historic achievement by Krznaric.
