CREEKSIDE HOLDS OFF LATE RALLY

STRUTHERS OH- Despite the Brooklyn Bonnies scoring 4 runs in the final 2 innings, Creekside was able to hold on to an 8-5 win.

Santino Ciambotti led their order from the top going 2-3 with 3 RBI.  Mason Petridis knocked in a RBI while going 2-2.  Donavan Bell-Sullivan went 1-3 with 3 runs scored.  Tanner Stricko, and Hunter Kobialka both went 1-2 at the plate.

Sam Landis picked up the win on the mound.  He went 3 innings and gave up 1 run on 6 hits.  He struck out a hitter.

Kymani Scott went 2-2 at the plate with a RBI for the Bonnies.  Anthony Roberts went 2-3 with a walk and a RBI.  Aaron Sibbles went 2-4 with a run scored and a RBI.

WHITING SWEEPS THEIR WAY TO 16U TITLE

STRUTHERS OH- Whiting Roll-Offs needed every bite of their big offense on Saturday as they won their third straight game to sweep Creekside in the Championship Series. Whiting’s offense flexed on their way to a 10-8 win.

Like he has been so many times this summer, Aiden Leiendecker was the biggest bat in the order. He went 3-4 at the top of the order and knocked in 3 RBI. He also scored a run.  Owen Keister was productive as well as he went 1-3 with a run scored, and 2 RBI. Nate Thomas was also 1-3 with 2 RBI.  Kallen Durbin was never retired going 2-2 with a walk, a run scored, and a RBI.

Dom Bumblis took the win on the hill for Whiting. He went 5 innings and gave up 6 earned runs.  He struck out 2.

Andrew Kali was the leader of Creekside’s offense going 3-4 on the day with 2 RBI. Tommy Smith also went 3-4 with a RBI.  He scored a pair of runs.  Dawson Smail was a perfect 3-3 with a walk, and 3 runs scored.

 

CREEKSIDE DRIVES HOME GAME 1 WIN

STRUTHERS OH-  In the Class B Baseball semifinals series in 18U, Creekside cooled off a red hot Knightline team in a 6-1 win.  It gives them a 1-0 lead in a beat of three series.

Zach Hyrb came up big for Creekside going 1-2 with 2 RBI.  Aidan Rossi was a huge part of the win in the lead off spot. He gathered multiple hits going 2-3 with 2 runs scored, a walk, and a run scored.  Andrew Cupan also gathered multiple hits going 2-3 with a run scored, and a RBI.  Tyler Kamerer went 1-4 with a RBI.

Braeden D’Angelo pitched a masterful complete game. He only gave up 1 run on 3 hits and struck out 3.

The Knightline offense may have struggled, but Anthony Massucci did knock in a RBI.  Teagan McCurdy managed a 1-2 effort as well.

Gavin Shrum took the loss on the mound. He went 4 innings giving up 5 runs on 7 hits and struck out 5.

WHITING ONE WIN AWAY FROM A CHAMPIONSHIP

STRUTHERS OH- Whiting is now one step away from a championship after their win in Game 2 of the Championship Series against Creekside.  2 runs in the top of the seventh gave Whiting a 6-4 win.

Aidan Leiendecker came up big for Whiting at the plate like he has so many times this summer. He went 2-3 on the day with a walk, a run scored, and 2 RBI.  Caison Holland had a nice day as well with a 1-2 effort. He drew a walk, and hit in a RBI.  Corbin Sevcik went 1-3 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.

Joey Pugh got the win on the bump. He went 6 innings and gave up 4 runs on 6 hits. He collected 3 strikeouts.

Creekside was led by Tyson Tarajack who went 1-2 with 2 RBI. Tommy Smith racked up multiple hits going 2-3 with a walk, a run scored, and a RBI.

Sam Landis pitched 6 innings on the mound and kept his team in the game. He was charged with 4 runs and gave up 6 hits.  He struck out 4 batters.

BALLISTIC TAKES THEIR SHOT AT CREEKSIDE

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside Fitness was fighting for standing positioning in the 18U division of Class B Baseball. However, on Wednesday Ballistic Baseball took a shot at Creekside’s place in the standings with a dominating 12-2 victory.

There were a lot of big bats for the potent Ballistic lineup. Colten Shaffer was the most productive going 2-3 with 4 RBI.  Brady Harman was unstoppable going 4-4 on the day with 3 runs scored and a RBI.  Nick Merola went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.  Tyler Mack also went 2-3 and he scored a run, along with knocking in a RBI.  Will Morrow notched a 2-3 day with a run scored and a RBI.

Morrow also shined on the mound. He lasted 5.2 IP and only gave up 1 earned run on 5 hits.  He struck out 6.

It was a tough night offensively for Creekside. Zach Hyrb went 1-3 with a RBI. Braden Zeigler managed to put together a 1-2 day.  Aidan Rossi scored a run for Creekside.

AVALANCHE MAKE QUICK WORK OF CREEKSIDE

STRUTHERS OH- With a lot on the line for both teams in concerns with the standings, Avalanche left no doubt who put the best foot forward on Tuesday night. They made quick work of Creekside Fitness 12-2.

Santino Piccirilli had the most productive day at the plate for Avalanche. He went 2-3 on the day with 2 runs scored, and 4 RBI.  Aidan Bowser was a perfect 2-2 with a pair of RBI.  Noah Philson was also perfect at the plate finishing 3-3 with a walk, 3 runs scored and a pair of RBI.  Avalanche had yet another perfect night at the plate from Mark Cattron going 2-2 with a run scored and a RBI.

Their offense was partnered with tremendous pitching from Jack Strausser. He tossed 5 innings and gave up 1 earned run on 5 hits.  He struck out 6.

Jackson Cheeks gathered the only RBI of the day for Creekside. He went 1-2 on the day with a RBI.  Ryan Double was never retired at the plate going 1-1 on the day.  Tommy Smith went 1-2 with a walk, and a run scored.

CREEKSIDE DOUBLES UP ATHLETIX

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside gathered more and more momentum on Friday night as they are back to their winning ways. This time around they doubled up Athletix 10-5.

The offense was on fire for Creekside. Danny Flynn was one of the bigger bats in the lineup. He went 2-3 on the day with a pair of RBI.  Tyler Kamerer also went 2-3 with a walk, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.  Andrew Capan went 1-4 with a pair of RBI.

Mark Bunch threw the complete game for Creekside and gave up 4 earned runs on 8 hits.  He struck out 5 batters on his way to the win.

Bayden Pipoly made the most of a 1-4 day with a RBI to go with it.  Seth Spooner was never retired going 3-3 with 2 runs scored.  Jeff Brenner added a RBI for the Athletix offense.

KNIGHTLINE HAD A NIGHT TO REMEMBER


STRUTHERS OH- In a pretty even 16U matchup between Knightline and Creekside, one run was all that was needed for Knightline Tuesday night. Although Creekside got the last run scored in the 6th, a 4 spot in the 3rd helped Knightline keep their lead and got them to a 6-5 victory over Creekside.

Dominic Ryan had a great day at the plate for Knightline. He went 1-2 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI. Nate Freeland also went 1-2 on the day, he finished with a walk and an RBI. Both Aiden Thompson and Andrew Brown went 1-3 on the day for Knightline. Thompson finished with 2 RBIs. Brown finished with 2 runs scored and RBI. Knightline scored 6 runs on 6 hits, and finished with 4 walks and 6 RBIs as a team.

Andrew Brown got the win on the mound for Knightline. In his 3-2/3 IP, he gave up 3 earned runs on 5 hits. He struck out 6 on the day.

Both Joe Balog and Andrew Kali led Creekside at the plate and on the bases. Balog went 1-3 on the day with a stolen base, a walk, a run scored, and an RBI. Kali went 1-2 with 2 walks and 2 RBIs. Creekside scored 5 runs on 6 hits, along with 4 RBIs and 6 walks as a team.

Tommy Smith took the loss for Creekside. In his 2 IP, he surrendered 3 earned runs on 1 hit. He struck out 3 on the day.

KNIGHTLINE SQUARES UP SEASON SERIES WITH CREEKSIDE


STRUTHERS OH- Knightline and Creekside squared off for the second time this season in 18U action on Monday. Creekside was able to win the first go-around between the two clubs, and it seemed like Creekside was on their way to another victory over Knightline going into the 6th inning. But Knightlines bats came alive in the 6th and 7th innings, putting up 5 unanswered runs between the two innings to come away with a 5-4 victory over Creekside.

Anthony Massucci and Mikey Sciortino both led the charge at the plate for Knightline. Massucci went 3-4 on the night with a triple, 2 runs scored and an RBI. Sciortino batted 1.000, going 1-1 with a run scored, an RBI, and 3 walks. Knightline scored 5 runs on 6 hits, and finished with 8 walks and 5 RBIs as a team.

Gavin Shrum got the win on the hill for Knightline. In his 3 IP, he did not allow any earned runs on just 1 hit. He finished with 3 strikeouts on the day.

Zach Luciano led Creekside at the plate, going 1-2 with a triple, a run scored, and an RBI. Owen Mandler and Andrew Salupo both contributed by going 1-2 with a run scored each. Creekside scored 4 runs on 6 hits, along with 6 walks and 4 RBIs as a team.

Luciano took the loss for Creekside. He gave up 2 earned runs on 4 hits in his 1IP. He finished with 3 strikeouts on the day.

WHITING FIRMLY GRASPS FIRST PLACE

STRUTHERS OH- All summer in the Class B alibi Division of 16U, Creekside Fitness has been biting at the ankles of top ranked Whiting Roll-Offs.  However, on Sunday it was Whiting that kept Creekside at bay and stormed to a 8-2 win.

Nathan Craig managed a masterful offensive day going 2-3 with 2 runs scored, a walk, and a RBI.  Corbin Sevcik used the most of a 1-4 day with a RBI along the way.  Kallen Durbin also went 1-4 on the day with a RBI and also managed to score a run.  Aidan Leiendecker had multiple hits going 2-4.

Craig took the win for Whiting has he hurled 6 innings and gave up 0 earned runs on 2 hits.  He struck out 9.

Tyson Tarajack did all he could on the offensive side for Creekside, he went 2-3 with 2 runs scored.  Brady Miller managed to put together a 1-3 day.
