AVALANCHE EVEN UP SERIES

STRUTHERS OH- With their backs against the wall in the 16U Class B playoffs, the Avalanche dig deep to force an if necessary game against Dura Edge with a 8-5 win. The Avalanche were down 4-0 after 2 innings, but scored 5 in the 3rd to turn the tides.

Reese Henderson put on a show at the plate for Avalanche going 1-3 with a walk, a run scored, and 2 RBI.  Julian Trott was nearly unstoppable going 3-4 on the day and racking up 2 runs scored, and a RBI.  Jake Mattocks gathered multiple hits going 2-3 with a RBI.  DJ Donatelli also had multiple hits going 2-3 with 2 runs scored.

Keegan Balla pitched a pair of scoreless innings to earn the win on the mound. In his two innings of work he gave up 0 runs on 0 hits. He struck out 3.

Jarrod Malagise was the heavy lifter for Dura Edge’s offense going 1-3 with 2 runs scored, and a RBI.  Kris Hrosar went 1-3 with a run scored, and a RBI.  Anthony Malagise mirrored those numbers going 1-3 with a RBI, and a run scored.

Brady Adam’s was charged with the loss on the bump for Dura Edge.  He went 5 innings and gave up 5 earned runs on 7 hits.  He struck out 5.

DURA EDGE SNAGS GAME 1 FROM PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge captured a big victory on Friday night securing game 1 6-2 and forcing the Prospects to win two games in a row tomorrow to move on. Dura Edge set the tone from the top scoring 2 runs in the top of the 1st and continuing to tack runs on as the game went on.

Nate Rynd went 1-3 on the day with a walk, and 2 RBI.  Parker Lyons, and Caleb Jones both went 1-3 with a RBI. Lyons also scored a run.  Kris Scandy went 1-1 with 2 walks, and 3 runs scored.  Ethan Hanley went 1-3 with a run scored.

Jake Corll pitched Dura to the game 1 win throwing a complete 7 innings and giving up 2 runs on 6 hits.  He struck out 7 and didn’t walk a single hitter.

AJ Stallsmith went 1-2 with both of the Prospects RBI.  Evan Pirtz recorded multiple hits going 2-3 on the day.  He crossed the plate once.  Tino Multari went 1-3 with a run scored.  Sully Brown wasn’t retired on the day going 1-1.

Austen Price pitched on the hill for Prospects and was tagged with the loss.  He went 5.1 innings and gave up 3 earned runs on 5 hits.  He struck out  6.

DURA EDGE HOLDS ON TO EARLY LEAD

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge got a big early boost on Friday night and was able to hold serve against a furious comeback from Avalanche. Dura Edge scored 6 runs in the first 3 innings, and held on to win 6-5.

Evan Levkulich was the production bearer for Dura Edhe going 1-3 with 2 RBI.  Ryan Telesz also knocked in a run on a 1-2 day. He also crossed the plate.  Kris Hrosar went 1-3 with a RBI.  Nick Leasure went 1-2 with a walk, and 2 runs scored.

Isaac Librich tossed the win for Dura Edge.  He lasted 6 innings and gave up 2 earned runs on 4 hits.  He struck out 4.

The Avalanche offense was led by Reese Henderson who went 1-3 with a pair of RBI.  Jake Mattoks also went 1-3 and knocked in a run.  Julian Trott went 1-3 with a walk, and 2 runs scored.  Peyton Koss walked and scored a run.

Richie Preston was hit with the loss for Avalanche. He threw 4.2 innings and gave up 3 earned runs on 7 hits.  He struck out 8 and only walked 2.

DURE EDGE ERUPTS IN THE FINAL FRAME

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge was in a tight spot heading into the 7th inning on Monday night. Trailing 4-2 in the final frame the Dura offense blasted their way to a four run frame, and held on in the bottom of the inning to win 6-5.

Kris Scandy went 1-4 on the day with 2 RBI for the Dura Edge offense.  He also scored a run.  Jared Malagise also went 1-4 with a run scored, and a RBI. Parker Lyons was s tough out, he went 3-4 on the day with a run scored.  Kyle Yost worked 2 walks, and scored a run.

Anthony Malagise took the win on the mound for Dura Edge. He went 2 innings and gave up 2 runs on 2 hits.

Will Morrow, and Anthony Koulianos both went 2-3 on the day with a RBI.  Koby Zupko went 1-2 with a run scored, and a RBI.

Dylan McElhinney was tagged with the loss on the hill. He lasted an inning giving up 3 earned runs on 3 hits.

PROSPECTS MAKE DURA EDGE WALK THE PLANK

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge couldn’t bounce back from a close loss earlier in the evening as they found themselves down big to Prospects on Friday night. Prospects came away with a 7-2 win.

Tino Multari was on fire for Prospects. He went 2-2 with 3 RBI for his squad.  Michael Galterio also put in a multiple hit day going 2-4 a run scored, and a RBI. Luca Bertolasio went 1-3 with a run scored. Shane Cato walked twice and scored both times he was on base.

Cato was also dominant on the mound for the Prospects going 7 innings and giving up 2 runs on 5 hits.  He struck out 6 hitters.

Jake Corll went 1-2 on the day for Dura Edge with a RBI.  Parker Lyons also collected a RBI at the plate. Caleb Jones, and Kris Scandy both went 1-3 with a run scored.

Garrett Donaldson was tagged with the loss on the rubber for Dura Edge.  He threw 5 innings giving up 2 earned runs on 6 hits.  He sat down 5 hitters on strikes.

AVALANCHE GET THE EDGE

STRUTHERS OH- It was another close game on Friday in Class B action as Avalanche escaped a close game with Dura Edge 3-2.  It was a two run 2nd inning that gave the Avalanche a lead they would never give up.

Derek Franken went 1-3 with a run scored and a RBI for the Avalanche offense. Coldan Barralso went 1-3 with a RBI.  Logan Ayres collected the team’s 3rd RBI.  Alarik Sierra had a perfect day at the plate going 3-3 with a run scored.  Landin Esposito also had multiple hits going 2-3.

Ayres earned the win on the bump for the Avalanche pitching 7 innings and giving up 1 earned run on 4 hits.  He struck out 4.

Nate Rynd went 1-2 with a walk and a RBI to be one of the leaders of the Dura Edge offense.  Gabe Faunda got multiple hits going 2-3.  Ethan Harley went 1-3 on the day. Parker Lyons, and Kris Scandy both scored runs.

CREEKSIDE PUSHES LATE TO WIN

STRUTHERS OH- The game between Creekside Fitness and Dura Edge was tied at 3-3 going into the 7th, but 5 runs in the top of the inning was enough to give Creekside the boost to win 8-3.

Jack Davis had a great day for Creekside going 2-4 with a run scored, and 3 RBI.  Andrew Sallipo went 2-3 with a walk, a run scored, and a pair of RBI.  Johnny Leedham got himself a 3-4 day with a run scored.

Payton Zupko was given the win on the mound for Creekside. He gave up no runs and no hits in 1 inning and struck out 2. Nick Magnifico pitched 6 innings giving up 3 runs on 8 hits.  He struck out 1.

Mitch Garvin got multiple hits for Dura Edge going 2-4 on the day.  Joseph Bobusci did the same going 2-4.  Blake Jeffries went 1-2 with a run scored.

Kris Hrosar got pegged with the loss gir Dura Edge. He went an inning. He gave up 1 earned run on 1 hit

 

DURA EDGE LIGHTS IT UP AGAINST EAGLE WEAR

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge’s offense was electric late on Sunday as the swung their way to a dramatic 9-5 victory over Eagle Wear in Class B 18U action. Dura Edge scored 4 runs in the top of the 8th.

Zack Leonard put together a very impressive night going 3-4 with a run scored.  Kris Scandy went 2-4 with 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.  Nate Rynd made the most out of his one hit going 1-4 with 3 RBI.  He also scored a run.

Jake Corll was able to earn the win for Dura Edge on the bump. He lasted 7.2 innings and gave up 2 earned runs on 12 hits. He struck out 8.

Anthony Carusci went 2-4 on the day for Eagle Wear. He scored a run and recorded 3 RBI.  James Campbell, and Jack Pawlowicz both went 1-4 with RBIs.  Pawlowicz scored a run as well.

Jason Gruber was charged with the loss for Eagle Wear. He went 2.2 innings and gave up 1 earned run on 2 hits. He struck out 1.

ASTRO JUMPS ON DURA EDGE FROM THE START

STRUTHERS OH- The Astro Falcons had no problems getting going on Saturday as they scored 7 runs in the first two innings to stun Dura Edge into submission. The Falcons came away with a 8-1 victory.

Ty Casciato was the big bat in the lineup this time around for the Falcons. He went 3-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.  Luke Lambert went 1-2 with 2 walks, a run scored, and a RBI.  Luca Ricchiuti also had a strong day going 1-2 with a walk, and 2 runs scored.

Carter Beneigh earned the win on the hill for the Falcons. He lasted all 7 innings. He gave up just 1 run on 7 hits.  He sat down 6 batters on strikes.

Kyle Yost had multiple hits for Dura Edge. He went 2-4 on the day.  Zack Leonard was never retired going 2-2 with a walk.  Nate Rynd went 1-2 with his team’s sole RBI.  Kris Scandy went 1-3 scoring a run.

Garrett Donaldson was tagged with the loss for Dura.  He went 4 innings giving up 7 runs on 8 hits. He struck out 4.

DURA EDGE’S OFFENSE EXPLODES ON KNIGHTLINE

STRUTHERS OH- There were no morning blues for Dura Edge’s offense as their bats were hot Saturday in their early morning 16-6 win over Knightline.

Jarrod Malagise had a fantastic day at the dish going 2-3 with a walk, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI. His brother Anthony had a perfect day going 2-2 with 2 walks, 3 runs scored, and 2 RBI. Blake Jefferies went 1-2 with a pair of RBI.  Evan Levkulich also went without being retired on the day going 2-2 with a run scored.

Joseph Babusci took the win on the bump for Dura Edge.  He threw 4 innings and gave up no earned runs on 4 hits.  He struck out 7.

Santino Cambotti had a nice day for Knightline. He went 2-3 with a run scored and a RBI.  Tyler Mikulin went 1-2 with a run scored and a RBI.  Teagan McCurdy had himself a 1-3 day with a RBI.  Chance Laczko scored a pair of runs.

Bronson Ferencak was charged with the loss for Knightline. He went 2.1 innings and gave up 3 runs on 4 hits.
