SALEM VOLLEYBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1) WITH KACEY COSTAL

SALEM OH- 2020 was a heck of a season to experience a first season as a head coach. Salem Volleyball head coach Kacey Costal drove through it and still managed to find success through such an adverse time. Now the multiple lessons that were learned during that season are leaving coach Costal locked and loaded for 2021. They have plenty of experience on the court coming back too. Most importantly, Salem is getting back both of their setters, who will look to lead a new look offense in 2021. The Quakers open the season August 23rd at Howland.

Coach Costal took the time to hop on to YSN’s Running Point this week to give us a preview of the 2021 Quakers season. She talks about coaching for the program she played in, bringing her own college experiences into her practices, and much more. SALEM VOLLEYBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1) WITH KACEY COSTAL

SALEM OH- The Lady Quakers are under new management this season with former Quaker Kacey Costal taking the helm of their volleyball program. New coach, no problem for this group as they have still managed to navigate a tough schedule in a season many programs would call a rebuild. The young team with only two seniors did not take long to find traction this season. They continue to play great defense, and hit efficiently staying away from attack errors.

Head Coach Kacey Costal could not have dreamt of a better opportunity as a coach to inherit a talented young group she can build a program around. It is a bonus that she gets to coach in the same gym she herself played in as a student. No one is going to care4 more about the success of a program than a former member of it.

Coach Costal took the time to call in to Running Point this week and talk to YSN’s Anthony Hartwig. They discuss the state of her team late i the season, what makes her a proud Quaker, and much more. Episode 1 of Salem Volleyball Coach’s Corner with Kacey Costal is live!
