NILES, OH- The Lakeview Bulldogs asserted their will over Niles McKinley on their way to an easy 17-1 victory on Tuesday. In the first inning, Lakeview got their offense started when Raegan Schick homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Lakeview scored five runs in the fifth inning. The offense in the inning came from walks by Madison Harvey and Mariah Tackett, a single by Schick, a fielder’s choice by Beady Titus, and an error on a ball put in play by Cait Kelm. Kelm was the winning pitcher for the Lady Dogs. She lasted five innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out nine and walking zero.
Snyder took the loss for McKinley. She surrendered 17 runs on 14 hits over five innings, striking out one. Lakeview socked two home runs on the day. Tackett went yard in the second inning, as Schick went deep in the first.
