LONG REACHES MILESTONE AS CLIPPERS TAKE THRILLER

COLUMBIANA OH- Tori Long reached her 1000th career dig on Tuesday night as the Clippers won a thrilling five set match over Southern. (19-25 25-19 25-21 15-25 15-13)

Tori Long had a big night for the Clippers finishing with 9 kills to go along with her 1000th dig. She totaled 29 digs on the night. Julia Rapp led the offense with 16 kills. Cameron Perkins set up the offense with 15 assists.

Columbiana will play host to Lisbon on Thursday to continue EOAC play. It will be “Dig Pink” night inside the Clipper Dome.

EAGLES SMOKE SOUTHERN

HANOVERTON OH- United remains one of the only unbeaten teams in the area as they sweep Southern on Tuesday night (25-12 25-16 25-16).

Tori Tschappatt keeps leading the Eagles offense with 12 kills. Brooklyn Smith has a good night attacking as well with 7 kills. Haley Dees racked up 17 assists.

This sets up a big matchup between United and Wellsville on Thursday night, at Wellsville.

CLIPPERS ON TOP OF EOAC WITH WIN OVER SOUTHERN

SALINEVILLE OH- Columbiana took sole possession of the top spot in the EOAC with a 55-46 win over Southern Local Tuesday night. After trailing at half time, the Clippers outscored the 34-17 in the second half to fly high to the victory. Columbiana now improves to 10-1 in the EOAC.

The Clippers were led by Hunter Zetner with 16. Sean Whitehead was also in double figures with 13, while Matt Mazei finished with 12. Dalton Whitehair contributed 11.

Columbiana returns to action Friday when they travel to Lisbon.
