RAIDERS BLAST STOW TO EARN DOUBLE HEADER SPLIT

STOW OH- Juli Stachowicz threw a shutout to lead South Range past Stow-Munroe Falls 10-0 on Saturday.

South Range secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. Madison Dado, Samantha Susany, Stachowicz, and Jamie Feren all drove in runs in the frame.

The Raiders tallied six runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Dado, Stachowicz, and Feren and a walk by Susany.

Stachowicz was the winning pitcher for South Range. The lefthander allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking zero.

The Raiders totaled ten hits in the game. Kelly Szolek, Dado, and Feren each collected multiple hits. Feren, Dado, and Szolek all had two hits to lead. South Range didn’t commit a single error in the field. Szolek had five chances in the field, the most on the team.

RAIDERS BACK ON TRACK WITH TWO WINS

STOW OH-

GAME 1 vs Talmadge:

Despite allowing three runs in the fourth inning, South Range defeated Tallmadge 9-3 on Saturday. Tallmadge scored its runs on a stolen base by Zoe Rensel.

The Raiders fired up the offense in the second inning. An error scored one run.

Bree Kohler got the win for South Range. The righty went seven innings, allowing three runs on three hits, striking out 14 and walking one.

Mia Zappola took the loss for Tallmadge. The pitcher allowed seven hits and six runs over five innings, striking out three.

South Range smacked two home runs on the day. Kohler went yard in the fourth inning. Juli Stachowicz had a long ball in the fourth inning.

The Raiders tallied 12 hits in the game. Kohler, Reagan Irons, and Kelly Szolek each had multiple hits. Kohler led with three hits in four at bats.

GAME 2 vs Stow:

South Range easily did away with Stow-Munroe Falls 11-1 on Saturday

The Raiders got things started in the first inning. They scored two runs when Juli Stachowicz tripled.

South Range scored four runs in the fifth inning. Jamie Feren and Hannah Ball all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Samantha Susany took the win for South Range. The righty went five innings, allowing one run on six hits and striking out three.

South Range collected ten hits on the day. Bree Kohler and Stachowicz each managed multiple hits. Kohler went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead in hits.

FITCH PICKS UP THEIR FIRST TOURNAMENT WIN

AUSTINTOWN OH- After some time off Fitch took care of business in their first tournament game sweeping Stow  in straight sets (25-12 25-18 25-14).

Chelsie Wheeler led the Falcons offense with 11 kills. Jocelyn Jourdan had a solid day too finishing with 7 kills, and 8 digs. Emma Bartlett set well and finished with 26 assists, she was one dig away from a double double with 9.

Fitch will host Perry on Tuesday night in the district semifinals. That match will start at 6:00.

LADY RAIDERS SWEEP SATURDAY TWIN BILL

Game 1: 

Bree Kohler shut down Barberton, throwing a complete game shutout and leading South Range to a 4-0 victory on Saturday

A single by Mayle in the fourth inning was a positive for Barberton.

Bree Kohler got the win for the Raiders. She went seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out seven and walking one.

Marr was in the pitcher’s circle for Barberton. She allowed seven hits and four runs over six innings, striking out one.

The Raiders tallied seven hits in the game.  Hanna Dennison and Julie Centofanti each collected multiple hits for South Range Raiders.  Julie Centofanti and Hanna Dennison each managed two hits to lead South Range. The Raiders didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jillian Strecansky had  seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

Barberton was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Kaisk made the most plays with  nine.

Game 2:

South Range coasted to an easy victory over Stow-Munroe Falls 10-2 on Saturday

South Range Raiders fired up the offense in the first inning.  Jillian Strecansky lined out, scoring one run.

The Raiders put up four runs in the sixth inning.  The offensive onslaught came from singles by Jillian Strecansky and Julie Centofanti.

Bell started the game for Stow-Munroe Falls. She surrendered four runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out two and walking zero.  #16 threw two innings in relief.

The Raiders scattered 14 hits in the game.  Julie Centofanti, Marlaina Slabach, Maddie Helon, Hanna Dennison, and Bree Kohler each collected multiple hits for South Range Raiders.  Julie Centofanti went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead South Range in hits.

Edmonson led Stow-Munroe Falls with two hits in four at bats.
