TIGERS PUSH THROUGH TOUGH GAME IN HUBBARD

HUBBARD OH- In a thrilling season opener, Springfield showcased their resilience, using a powerful fourth quarter to secure a 52-43 victory over Hubbard. The game remained tightly contested through halftime, with the score deadlocked at 24-24. Even after three quarters, the teams were evenly matched at 35-35. However, Springfield took control in the final quarter, embarking on a 10-0 run and ultimately outscoring Hubbard 17-8.

Jameka Brungard emerged as a standout for Springfield, contributing an impressive 27 points and 11 rebounds. Ava Vecchione added 13 points to the scoreboard, while Mariana Tuscano chipped in with 9 points.

On the Hubbard side, Rheanna Barr and Cara Green each scored 9 points, with Barr also securing 6 rebounds. Claire Murphy and Khamyah Haynes contributed 8 and 6 points, respectively.
