HOWLAND UP FOR THE TASK IN FIRST GAME

WARREN OH- In an electrifying season opener, Howland’s offense ignited, propelling them to a 70-61 victory over Salem. Alyssa Massucci led the charge for Howland, showcasing her scoring prowess with an impressive 26 points, including three successful three-pointers. Jessie DeSalvo contributed 12 points, while Sophia Powell and Emily Adams added 9 and 6 points, respectively.

Salem’s Rylee Hutton delivered a standout performance, finishing with a game-high 34 points and an impressive 13 out of 14 from the free-throw line. Despite Hutton’s remarkable effort, Howland’s collective offensive strength proved decisive.

As Howland celebrates a strong start to the season, the team will look to build on this momentum in the upcoming games. Salem, on the other hand, will regroup and prepare for their next challenge, aiming to bounce back from this hard-fought loss.
