COLUMBUS OH – The Warren JFK boys’ golf team etched their name in the books of Ohio high school golf history as they secured the OHSAA Division III State Championship in Columbus. In a thrilling contest that went down to the wire, Warren JFK emerged victorious by the slimmest of margins, edging out Newark Catholic by a mere one stroke.

Competing over two rounds in the tournament, Warren JFK displayed both skill and unwavering determination. They achieved a combined team score of 648, a testament to their collective excellence on the greens.

Bryce Van Horn contributed a total of 171 strokes across the two rounds, demonstrating his resilience and commitment to his team’s success. Andrew LaPolla showcased an impressive performance with a combined total of 157 strokes, highlighting his skill and composure under the pressure of a state championship. Henry Phillips exhibited his consistency with a total of 166 strokes, making his mark on this remarkable victory. Andrew Fredenberg played a pivotal role, contributing 164 strokes, showcasing his exceptional abilities and competitive spirit. Julian Bolino rounded out the team’s tremendous effort, accumulating a total of 172 strokes, adding depth to Warren JFK’s triumph.
