ANDERSON CONTINUES TO SHINE

BELOIT OH- The first round of the tournament can see some shockers sometimes.  For the first couple of innings, it looked as if the Lady Ravens of Ravenna were going to pull the upset.  However, they would have to get past a talented lady Warriors team of West Branch who came into the game with a record of 18-6.

The first couple of innings saw both teams go back and forth.  The Ravens had great fielding from Joi Miller who played both Center and Left field, making one catch behind her head and another diving.  The pitching from Alyssa Orona shined for a bit too but fell later on.  For the Lady Warriors, they were led by senior Jordan Anderson who would only give up one run while striking out 11 of the Lady Ravens.

After Anderson’s first fly ball which had Morgan Loudon score, the momentum shifted to the Warriors and they never looked back as they would get 10 more runs from Anderson, Skyler Greeneisen, Sam Morris, pinch runners Kiersten Skinner, Mirabella Beckett and Daphne Snyder.  The game would end in the bottom of the sixth after two more runs making the final 11-0.

West Branch (19-6) will face Perry (16-8) who got a big 13 to 3 win against the Lady Wolverines of West Geauga.  Game will be 5pm Wednesday.
