The first quarter set the tone for the Beavers, as they recovered a Kaige Boczar fumble at Jefferson’s 36-yard line, quickly capitalizing with a 36-yard touchdown pass from Austin Cline to Brock Severs, taking an early 7-0 lead. Jefferson struggled to convert on 4th down at the Beavers’ 31-yard line, allowing Cline to connect with Taylor Johnston for a 5-yard touchdown pass, extending their lead to 14-0 by the end of the first quarter.
