BLUE DEVILS STALL AGAINST ROOTSTOWN

ROOTSTOWN OH- Western Reserve’s offense struggled to get going on Monday night as they fell to Rootstown by a score of 3-0.

The game was a defensive battle from the start, with both teams struggling to generate much offense. Western Reserve’s bats were kept in check by Rootstown’s pitching, managing only 4 hits throughout the game. Lindsay Jones led the offense with a 2-for-3 performance, while Caylee Selley, Kaleigh Williams, and Aubrey Kutsko each added a hit.

In the circle, Katie Byers pitched a solid game for Western Reserve, going 6 innings and allowing 3 earned runs on 5 hits. Despite her efforts, Rootstown’s offense was able to capitalize on scoring opportunities to secure the win.
