EAGLES OFFENSE KEEPS CHARGING

CARROLLTON OH- United softball engaged in a thrilling back-and-forth contest on Monday against Carrollton, ultimately emerging victorious with a hard-fought 10-8 win.

The game was a rollercoaster of momentum swings, with both teams trading blows throughout the night. United’s offense came out swinging, with Madelynn Lucas and Matti Zines leading the charge. Lucas went 3 for 5 at the plate, driving in 3 runs and scoring 2 herself, while Zines went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Sam Lippiatt, Brittany Miller, Brinsley Hiscox, and Kendall Erb each contributed with RBIs to round out United’s offensive effort.

In the circle, Zines also played a crucial role, pitching a complete game. Despite allowing 10 hits and 3 earned runs, Zines remained composed, striking out 3 batters to keep Carrollton’s offense in check.
