WARRIORS MAKE QUICK WORK OF BEAVER FALLS

NEW CASTLE PA- Mohawk defeats Beaver Falls, 16-0, in three innings to improve to 5-1 on the young season and remain atop the WPIAL 3A2 conference.

The Warriors took 2-0 lead after the first inning thanks to a pair of RBIs from Gianna Pezzuolo and Alivia Hare before opening the floodgates in the second inning.

Mylie Pistorious led the charge for the Warriors in the second inning with a leadoff triple, which was followed by eight RBIs from the Warriors’ lineup, to give Mohawk a 10-0 lead going into the third inning.

Mohawk kept their foot on the gas in the third inning, scoring six more runs, and capped off their dominant performance with an RBI double from Aricka Young to bring home their final two runs before the mercy rule came into effect.

Reagan Magno picked up the win on the mound without allowing a base hit and recorded seven strikeouts through three innings.

Alivia Hare was only a home run shy of the cycle, recording a double, triple, and single, and had three RBIs.

Maya McGreal went 2-3 with a double and also recorded three RBIs.

Gianna Pezzuolo recorded three RBIs as well, two of them coming off an RBI triple in the second inning.

Addy Moskal was the only Warrior without a base hit, but still had an efficient day at the plate, recording three walks.
