YET ANOTHER AAC TITLE FOR FITCH

HOWLAND OH- Austintown Fitch continued their winning streak with a dominant 16-1 victory over Howland, securing a share of the AAC championship for the second straight year.

Fitch’s offense exploded with power and precision, led by a barrage of hits from multiple players. Kaliana Ray showcased her prowess at the plate with 2 singles, a home run, and an RBI, while her sister Ayla Ray added a homer and 2 RBIs. Kylie Folkwein contributed with a single, double, and home run, driving in 2 RBIs, while Sydnie Watts, Morgan Roby, Samantha Severn, and Miauna Jorge each added their own homers and RBIs. Abby Toth and Kameryn Scandy also chipped in with key hits and RBIs to fuel Fitch’s offensive onslaught.

In the circle, Sydnie Watts and Vita Kelty combined forces to stifle Howland’s offense. Watts pitched 3 innings, allowing just 3 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 5 batters, while Kelty closed out the game with 2 perfect innings, recording 3 strikeouts.

Howland managed to get on the board with Madison Schmitz’s home run and hits from Maya Kubancsek and Alyssa Massucci, but they couldn’t keep pace with Fitch’s explosive offense.
